Bohol with kids

It was my first time visiting Bohol and I loved it! It was fun, there were a lot of exciting things to do and see for kids like me and I loved the food there.

Here are our top things to do in Bohol that are fun even for kids like me!

Bohol Travel Requirements

We flew with Philippine Airlines to Bohol and presented our valid IDs, printed boarding passes, and vaccination cards. We also prepared S-Pass travel permits but they did not ask to see them anymore.

Tip! Check-in online with Philippine Airlines 24 hours up to 1 hour before your flight to avoid the lines at the airport.

I had a great time flying with Philippine Airlines. We were given yummy snacks and they gave my little brother and me our special request for orange juice for free!

Bohol Beach Club

We were picked up by Bohol Beach Club at the airport for free and brought to the hotel. The resort is very near the airport and it only took 10 minutes to get to the hotel.

Here are photos of our double-sharing deluxe green room at Bohol Beach club. It has one double bed and one queen bed. We have a big TV, closet, mini ref, and vault. The room is very spacious and there is even a table and chairs outside where we can relax.

The bathroom has a separate sink area from the toilet and shower area. Plus they have a bidet!

We really like our hotel room!

Bohol Countryside Tour: ATV Adventure

The next day we had a buffet breakfast first before we went on our tour. The restaurant is beside the beach and they had many options for breakfast. I liked their tocino, longganisa, and corned beef.

After breakfast, our tour guide with us up in the lobby and took us on our countryside tour. We went ATV riding first near Chocolate Hills.

We chose 2 buggies so my mom and dad could drive and my little brother and I could ride beside them.

I felt excited and nervous at first. It was a fun experience because it was fast and you can see the Chocolate Hills.

We were wearing raincoats so our clothes were safe from the mud. Make sure you bring wipes because my legs got a bit dirty.

Bohol Countryside Tour: Chocolate Hills

Next, we went to the Chocolate Hills. The tickets cost Php100 each for adults and Php 50 each for kids. I was fascinated and amazed when I first saw all the Chocolate Hills.

Be prepared to walk a lot because there are 200 steps to go up the Chocolate Hills Viewpoint. I was really scared because I am afraid of heights and it was really high. It was really beautiful at the top but I was also scared at the same time.

You can get really good photos at the top of the viewpoint. Make sure to bring water because I got really thirsty going up. Please make sure you bring an umbrella too in case it rains.

Bohol Countryside Tour: Tarsier Conservation Area

Next, we went to the Tarsier conservation area. The tickets cost Php 100 each for adults and my little brother who is 4 years old got in for free.

They have a really nice “I love Bohol” sign there where you can get a picture.

The place is big and they have several tarsiers. The tarsiers are very small and very cute. My little brother calls them small owls because of their big eyes.

The tarsiers are protected and you can’t get too close to them which is good.

Countryside Tour: Floating Restaurant

For lunch, we tried the Rio Verde floating restaurant. Our tour guide recommended it to us and we really liked it. We paid Php 850 for adults and kids above 3 feet and Php 425 pesos for kids below 3 feet.

They served Filipino food in their buffet and I really liked their pansit and liempo. My dad liked their BBQ and fried chicken too.

We liked the experience of having a meal while cruising on a river. We saw an Ati Tribe village too.

Bohol Beach Club Swimming

Next we back to Bohol Beach club for some pool time. They have a big pool and a kiddie pool. My brother and I had fun swimming there and it lights up at night!

Guiseppe Bohol

We ate at Guiseppe Pizzeria and Sicilian Roast next. We ordered a lot there!

We got calamari, focaccia bread, Tartufo pasta, fried chicken and Pizza Gregorio

My favorites are pasta and pizza. We were so full after our dinner.

Bohol Island Hopping

The next day, we went island hopping!

We woke up very early because the island hopping starts at 6:30 am. We had a buffet breakfast at Bohol Beach Club again before we went on the boat.

I was scared at first because it was my first time on the boat. I got used to the waves after a while.

We saw a lot of boats there looking for dolphins. We were lucky because our tour guide found dolphins on our way to Balicasag island. It was amazing to see dolphins for the first time in real life.

You can also snorkel on Balicasag island.

After that, we went to a sandbar called Virgin island. We went there early so that there won’t be a lot of people there yet. It was cool to see a sandbar!

I saw a baby crab and I got a bit scared.

I liked the island hopping because it was relaxing to be on the boat and fun too!

The Buzz Cafe

After island hopping, we went to Alona beach to eat at the Buzzz cafe.

The Buzzz cafe had really yummy food. I ate garlic red rice and kiddie chicken or chicken tenders. My mom and dad had spareribs and grilled squid.

We also ordered chocolate, avocado, and durian ice cream. These were all yummy!

Smile Restaurant

The following day, we ate first at Smile Restaurant near Alona Beach before our flight.

We ordered the pork cutlet with cheese, tonkatsu noodles, curry rice, and fried chicken. The fried chicken was a lot!

The restaurant was new and it was yummy there.

I really love Bohol! There are a lot of fun activities that kids like me can do, there are beautiful places to see and a lot of yummy food to eat.
