How to Get to Boracay with Kids: 2022 Boracay Family Trip

Boracay with Kids

I was excited to visit Boracay for the first time and our family trip from Manila to Boracay was fun and convenient.

Today, I will share with you how we traveled from Manila to our Boracay hotel and the travel requirements we prepared for Cebu Pacific.

Boracay Travel Requirements

We flew with Cebu Pacific from Manila to Boracay (Caticlan airport) and we checked in online already so we went straight to the Bag Drop counter. We presented our valid IDs and printed boarding passes. We also brought our vaccination cards but they no longer asked us to present them.

Tip! Check-in online with Cebu Pacific from 7 days up to 1 hour before your flight to skip the check-in line and go straight to bag drop.

Our flight was in the afternoon and we were sad that it was delayed and we got to Boracay at night already. We will try an earlier flight next time so we can get there earlier.

NAIA Terminal 4

Our terminal was NAIA Terminal 4. It is a smaller terminal and it was very crowded when we went there. Luckily, there are a lot of food stalls where you can buy snacks.

Plus, there is a small play area for kids that is open inside terminal 4. My little brother and I played there while waiting for our flight.

Caticlan Airport to Caticlan Jetty Port

Movenpick Boracay’s guide picked us up at the airport. My dad arranged for a shared hotel van and speedboat transfer and it was so convenient!

We rode a van from the airport to the Caticlan Jetty Port and Passenger Terminal. It was a short ride and only took around 5 minutes to get there.

There are also other transportation options available to get to the Caticlan Jetty Port. There are vans and tricycles outside the airport that you can hire.

Caticlan Jetty Port Fees

After arriving at the Caticlan Jetty Port, we went to the registration area and my parents wrote our names on a logbook while our guide paid for our fees. Our guide also took care of the verification process so we didn’t need to line up to show our hotel booking.

After our guide took care of the payment, we boarded the speedboat which was included in the shared hotel van and transfer that my dad booked. The boat ride only took around 5 minutes. We booked our speedboat transfer through Movenpick and it was so hassle-free. We felt very well taken care of. We didn’t even need to worry about our luggage because they took care of it already.

There are also other boat options available like the pump boat and the bigger Oyster Ferry, which is more affordable.

Boracay Port to Hotel

After the speedboat ride, we transferred to Movenpick’s van for the ride to the hotel. The guide already took care of transferring our luggage from the airport, boat, and van.

It took us around 30 minutes to get to Movenpick Hotel.
