Boracay with Kids: Island Hopping

I have always heard that Boracay has white powdery sand, clear blue waters, and is one of the best beaches in the Philippines. That is why I was so excited to visit Boracay for the first time!

Island hopping was the first activity we had in Boracay and it was so much fun! I will share with you our Boracay island hopping experience.

We booked our island hopping tour with Movenpick Boracay where we stayed and a van picked us up and brought us to White Beach for the island hopping tour. You can read about our Movenpick Boracay experience here:

After filling out the form at the beach, we headed to the floating dock to ride the boat. The floating dock was a little scary at first because it was shaky but I got used to it after a while.

Our tour guide, Kuya Biboi, was very kind and he brought water and snorkeling equipment for us, plus food for the fish!

We headed first to the Crystal Cove Island Resort. Crystal Cove is a private beach island with 2 coves and white sand beaches. Our tour package already includes the entrance fees but here are the 2022 fees if you want to book them separately.

First, we headed to the sightseeing area near Cove 1 of Crystal Cove. It had beautiful views of the sea and was very photogenic.

My dad went down to Cove 1 but we did not go down as the waves were very strong at that time.

We had our snack at one of the picnic tables overlooking the sea and enjoyed the fresh air.

There are other activities older kids and adults can enjoy in Crystal Cove like snorkeling, trekking, and fish feeding.

Next, our boat headed near Balinghai Island for snorkeling! The waves were a little strong that time so my dad, who is a strong swimmer, went snorkeling while my mom, little brother, and I enjoyed fish-feeding from the boat.

My dad that he saw beautiful corals and colorful fishes there.

Our tour guide said we can also go to Crocodile Island for snorkeling where there are more fish and corals. However, we decided not to go to there anymore since the waves were pretty strong and my little brother and I got a little bit scared. We’ll try to explore Crocodile Island next time.

Our last stop in our island hopping tour is Puka beach!

I got pearl and rose quartz bracelets in the stores along Puka beach. It’s definitely more affordable than here in Manila.

Crystal Kayak is a transparent kayak that lets you see Boracay’s turquoise waters as you kayak over the waters of Boracay’s White Beach. I was a bit scared at first but I found it fun after a few minutes. Our boatman also took photos and it was so nice!

We rented the Crystal Kayak from a tour guide along White Beach for P250 for 15 minutes.

Aside from the Crystal Kayak, older kids can also try other watersports like paddle boarding, banana boat ride, UFO ride, parasailing, and helmet diving!

Movenpick Boracay’s pool is huge! It’s the biggest pool in Boracay at 3,300 square meters. It has a big kiddie pool where my little brother and I enjoyed swimming. We also tried the adult pool and had fun with our mom and dad there. It is so big that it doesn’t feel crowded even when there are other people swimming in it.

You can also visit Movenpick Boracay even if you are not staying there. They have a Day Pass worth Php 2,000 with Php 1,600 consumables for food and beverage. Kids below 6 years can enter for free!
